Bingo America

Bingo America is a TV game show in the United States. The show is hosted by Patrick Duffy who has a long history on American television. The way bingo America works is two-fold. First of all, there are two game show contestants going against each other in each episode of Bingo America for up to $100,000. Secondly, viewers at home can print out Bingo America game cards and play along at home to win money.

In the main game, balls are drawn and each ball has a letter and a number. The two contetants on Bingo America are almost always a male vs. female. When a ball is drawn, the contestants have to answer a question. If they get the question right, they get the letter on the ball and the number in dollars amount credited to the bank. The bank on Bingo America starts at $500 each new game. There are two matches played on each game of Bingo America, and if a player wins both they get alll the money in the bank.

Bingo America also has sponsored balls in each game. For instance sometimes they have “Northern Quilted” bars which act as wildcard balls. When Bingo America contestants get a Northern Quilted ball they can pick any letter they want $100 is added to the bank. Other bonus balls in Bingo America include the blue Maxwell House and the red Moneygram balls. If time runs out in a round of Bingo America then a sudden death lighting round starts. If a player answers any question incorrectly, the letter is awarded automatically to their opponent.

If Bingo America is tied after the first round, a 5 question bonus round called blockbusters is added. The winner moves on to the bonus round. The bonus board is the Bingo America bonus round. The board consists of 75 numbers. Behind each number is a prize which ranges from a pet rock to $100,000 - a huge difference.

Every prize is added twice to the 75 numbers and once the contestant chooses the same prize twice, he/she gets that prize. Viewers at home can play along with Bingo America via a sweepstake format. After the episode is taped, 100 winning cards are made along with the majority of losing cards. Viewers can print them off the GSN website. If a home user wins they can go to the GSN website and claim a prize.
